Chandria is a large continent, with varied landscapes, cultures, and nations populating it. It is in the midst of a dark age with few nations and settlements communing with one another. No empire has ever succeeded at conquering all of Chandria, but the great empires each controlled about half. It has been centuries since the last great empire. Since many smaller kingdoms and lordships have arisen. They are starting to come together, salvage the great powerful treasures of the last age, and build the next great empire. No single race or kingdom has yet taken the lead in this expansion and unification. All it could take is a great hero, or band of heroes, to start turning the gears of war.
- Safe Havens – Refuges where the party can go to rest, buy provisions, gather information, and begin adventures anew.
- Hostile Territory – Kingdoms and areas that are not welcoming to the party, but aren’t necessarily aggressive either. Few quests begin in these areas and fights could break out at any time.
- Battlegrounds – The war-torn sites where the party has spilt blood and earned honor.
- Places of Interest – Dungeons, temples, tombs, lairs, and other locales the party has plundered.
